We have had a spectacular holiday season here on the Eastern Shore. For us, the festivities truly begin with the Waterfowl Festival in Easton. For over 50 years, this tradition has been held on the second weekend in November, drawing visitors from across the globe.
From there, we move onto Thanksgiving and then straight into the heart of December. We can’t think of a better place than Talbot County to celebrate; this year, we even enjoyed a few days of snow that really helped capture the holiday spirit. Best of all, the crab and oyster seasons overlapped, making it a "bountiful" time of year to enjoy the local catch.
Shore Traditions & Local Charm
The area truly comes alive in December. From the yuletide charm of St. Michaels—with its famous Christmas parade and shops decked out along the harbor—to the quiet, candlelit beauty of Oxford, our towns offer something for everyone.
Between our incredible restaurants, boutique shopping, and local entertainment, there is a distinct pace here that allows you to actually relax and unwind. It’s the way the holidays should be: fun, exciting, and something to look forward to every year.
A Special Place to Be
What truly sets Talbot County apart are the friendly people and the slower pace of life. We place a deep emphasis on family, friends, and neighbors. Whether your family has been here since the 1600s or it is your very first visit to the Shore, we think you’ll agree that this is a special place to be.
We hope you have enjoyed the holidays here as much as we have, and we wish you the very best in 2026.
